Why Can't I Use the Same Funds to Trade in Both the Securities and Commodity Segments?

At Upstox, inter-fund transfers between the Securities and Commodities accounts are not allowed. To transfer funds, you must first withdraw them from one segment and then add them to the desired segment.

Upstox offers two types of accounts:

Securities Account: Used for trading in Equities, F&O, and Currencies on the NSE and BSE.
Commodities Account: Used for trading in Commodity Futures and Options on the MCX.

Important Note: You cannot withdraw funds added on the same day. You must wait for the T+1 day (Trading day +1) before transferring funds from your trading account to your bank account.
