What Are Maintenance Charges?
Maintenance charges, known as Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) or Quarterly Maintenance Charges (QMC), are fees levied to maintain your Demat account. These fixed charges apply annually or quarterly, depending on your account opening plan and date. They are applicable regardless of whether you have a Trading account.
Note: Maintenance charges are applicable after the first year of onboarding.
Types of Charges:
1. Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC): ₹150 + GST = ₹177 (Non-refundable)
2. Quarterly Maintenance Charges (QMC): ₹75 + GST = ₹88.50 (Non-refundable)
How to View or Download Charge Details:
You can access and download your ledger report via the Upstox app to view AMC/QMC charges applied to your account. These charges appear as Journal Voucher (JV) entries indicating the amount debited.
