You can locate your bank’s IFSC code on your cheque or bank statement. The IFSC code is an 11-character code with the following structure:

  • The first four characters are alphabetic and represent the bank’s name.
  • The fifth character is always "0" (zero), reserved for future use.
  • The last six characters (usually numeric, but sometimes alphabetic) represent the specific branch of the bank.
